The next real destination for my summer adventure is Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming. I have seven nights reserved there. Getting there is a three day dash.
Des Moines, Iowa
First stop Des Moines West KOA Holiday. Everything you expect at a KOA.
Lincoln, Nebraska
Next Lincoln West KOA Holiday. This KOA was more than expected. It opened just 15 days prior to my arrival. I took advantage of near virgin laundry machines and the shower was probably nice than any Marriott shower I have used (and I’ve used over a thousand of them).
Here are some pictures. Give it a few years for the shades trees to grow and it will be an awesome KOA.
I had an interesting discussion with the folks in the FedEx Truck. The FedEx niche they’re part of is called FedEx “Custom Critical”. The truck has a kitchen and bed area – it is not owned by FedEx but by a logistics company. They do point to point deliveries of just one shipment and they have weekends off. `
