My main reason for stopping in OKC, other than it was the right distance and on the way, was to visit Prairie Artisan Ales. Prairie Artisan is known for their “Christmas Bomb”; a bourbon barrel aged stout released every Christmas.
Oklahoma City also has a stretch of Route 66 to see. And, many years ago, I briefly lived in Oklahoma City while I was figuring out what to do with my life.

This was disappointing. They may be prepping for the roads anniversary celebration or it may be routine maintenance but one of the iconic buildings, the Tower Theater, was surrounded by construction.
Another iconic sight is the milk bottle store but it was hard to get a good picture.
So I went to Prairie Artisan Ales.

I had some really good beers – IPAs and Stouts but only took two pictures.
And that was it for OKC.
